Brazil Tour

Land of Brazil or Land of the holy cross is a fusion of great music, crowded beaches and the electric wildlife. Let’s explore the wild side of Brazil in our eleven days tour, exclusively planned with the highlights destination points included.

Day 01


Welcome to Brazil 16:30 Upon arrival with QR 771. You will be met at the airport and escorted to your hotel.

Day 02


Our 3-hour sightseeing tour of the thriving metropolis of Sao Paulo includes the main sites of interest as the imposing Se Cathedral and the Patio do Colegio the place in which the city was founded. We leave the old center behind to head to Liberdade, Sao Paulo's Asian district, and home to the largest Japanese community outside of Japan in the world.*A short drive to the southwest is the city's second downtown area of AvenidaPaulista, one of the most important avenues in Sao Paulo and sometimes identified as the new business center of Brazil. Not far away is the sophisticated Jardins district, with its high concentration of fine stores, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Finally we proceed to the Ibirapuera Park boasting the 'Monumento as Bandeiras' and many famous buildings including the Oca and Auditorium designed by Oscar Niemeyer, Brazil's most famous architect.

Day 04


This morning you will be pick up to wander along the Cataratas Trail in the Brazilian side of the Iguazu National Park. From spots all along the path (distance 1.5 km/1 mile) there are panoramic views of the falls, one of the more beautiful natural landmarks in all of South America. At the end of the trail a catwalk provides breathtaking views of the tallest waterfall, the Devils' Throat. The tour ends at the top of the falls accessed through a panoramic elevator. The vehicle that will take you back to the hotel waits for you at Puerto Canoas, only a few minute walk from the elevator.

This afternoon you will enhance your Iguazu Falls experience with a boat trip under the falls. The tour starts in Iguassu National Park with a ride through the jungle in open jeep-towed vehicles, where orchids, bromeliads and butterflies can be seen. We then leave the vehicle behind for an exciting boat tour that takes you right up to the Three Musketeers Fall. Get ready to get wet (plastic bags are provided to protect your camera and belongings). After enjoying awe-inspiring views of rainbow arcs and the roaring falls against a backdrop of verdant rainforest our adventure ends at Macuco port. You will be then transferred to your hotel. Duration: 1 hour 45 minutes (boat tour lasts approx. 20 min)

14:00 At afternoon, your comprehensive city tour includes the beautiful Koricancha or Sun Temple, the Cathedral as well as the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, a most remarkable Inca building, the amphitheater of Kenko. This is followed by a visit to PucaPucara, a strategically located 'red fortress' that dominates the entire area before visiting Tambomachay, with its two distinctive aqueducts that to this day continue to provide clean water to the area.

Day 07


This morning we drive to the Pisaq market in the Sacred Valley. Originally a place where people from remote communities used to barter their products, Pisaq has evolved to one of South America's most famous souvenir markets. Make sure to sample some 'empanadas' baked in traditional clay ovens.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Afternoon visit to the fortress of Ollantaytambo where the Temple of the Sun (formed of six gigantic monoliths, whose total weight exceeds 50 tons) and the Terrace of the Ten Niches stand out.

Day 08


Morning transfer from the hotel to the train station in Ollanta in order to take the train (only transportation with Spanish Driver)

The train ride takes you through the Sacred Valley of the Incas up to Machu Picchu.

On arrival a small coach takes you up the steep roads to the entrance of the citadel. Machu Picchu remained for centuries undiscovered by the Spaniards, only to be found in 1911 by Hiram Bingham. During a guided tour you experience the uniqueness of its location and the genius that went into its construction which make this Inca site one of the new 7 wonders of the world. (The tour lasts 02 hours and a half)

After the remarkable Machu Picchu we will take the train back to Ollanta train station
Departure on Expedition from AguasCalientes to Ollanta Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Cusco (only transportation with Spanish driver).

Day 09

12:50 Arrival to Iquitos and reception at the airport, brief city orientation and transfer to the Explorama dock. Twenty-five mile journey down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops where private rooms with air conditioning and hot water provide all of the comforts of home. Afternoon hike in the beautiful primary rainforest reserve surrounding Ceiba Tops which includes many huge trees festooned with epiphytes. After dinner there may be local flute or guitar music at the El Toucan Bar or the guides are always ready to relate some of the many legends of the Amazon forest. Note: The boat departs from Iquitos Dock at 13.30 hrs. every day.

Day 09


Morning boat ride, spotting for dolphins, to visit a small village of Yagua Indians where your guide will explain the Yagua Indian culture and how it was affected by the arrival of Europeans and the passing of time. There will also be an opportunity to see some of the local crafts and for a demonstration of the blowgun which some of the Yagua elders still use for hunting. Afternoon walking excursion to the neighboring town of Indiana. Originally a Franciscan mission, Indiana has grown into a large river community with its own market, high school and small hospital.

Day 10


Early morning departure from Ceiba Tops by boat to the narrow motorcar crossing connecting the Amazon and Napo Rivers to continue by boat to ExplorNapo Lodge for breakfast. Hike to the spectacular Canopy Walkway spanning over 500 meters (one-third of a mile), connected by tree platforms, and reaching a height of over 35 meters (115 feet) but accessible without any type of climbing skill or equipment. After lunch, visit the "ReNuPeRu" Ethnobotanical Garden where over 240 medicinal plants are cultivated by a local shaman who will explain the nature of Amazonian natural healing and the uses of some of the plants. Return to Ceiba Tops in time to enjoy the pool or hammocks before dinner.

Day 11


Your choice of a morning walking or boating excursion to further enjoy the rainforest and Amazon River or time to relax by the pool until departure time. Afternoon transfer to Iquitos and to the airport.
